Being a 'working woman' is not an option for Snehalata a mother to two college-going sons Purna (19yrs) and Rajesh (16yrs). Her husband Khagendra Nayak (41yrs, 4th class) is a laborer, earning a meager Rs 3,000 per month. Snehalata's endevor is to provide their children with quality education, despite their limited means. This small family of four hails from Nilgiri (Balasore district, Orissa). Snehalata?s appearance belies her 6 years of experience in the Tailoring business set up by her, using a loan of INR 5000. What started with a single sewing machine and a handful of small-jobs from local shops, promises to become a stable means of livelihood for this family. This loan repaid, she now requires Rs. 10000 to take on more volume of Tailoring jobs. This will enable her to offer customers a wider range of services, thereby increasing revenue and build a loyal customer-base.
