Uma Mani Behera and her husband Rabindra both are working separately for a living. Uma Mani operates Stationary shop from her house from where she sells textbook, notebooks, pens, pencils toys gifts items and other stationary items. Her husband works in a sweet stall and earns Rs. 2500 in a month. Uma Mani had received the first cycle loan from Rang De for this existing business and repaid successfully. Umamani does her purchasing from the local wholesaler and sell them in her village for a profit. Umamani has the rich experience in buying and selling of daily consumable goods. She is able to earn Rs. 1,500 per month from this business. She needs to upgrade her business and believes that a loan of Rs.10,000 would help her in a big way. Apart from purchasing the stationery items she can also make some advance payments to the dealers so that they do not stop the supply of their products. The couple has two children studying in high schools.
