Handloom work

Mita Biswas lives with her husband in the Nadia district of West Bengal. The couple earn a living out of weaving handloom sarees at the loom in their house. Mita has now requested for a loan to purchase the Tana, Mako and threads to weave the sarees. These are then sold at the local market as beautiful handwoven sarees that fetch them a decent margin. She is confident of paying back her loan amount as there are only a few installments pending from the last loan availed for the same business.
