Rakhi Koyal 's Evaluation Notes

First Evaluation : Loan Helps See more evaluations

We met Rakhi at her residence  and she runs a small grocery shop in the front area of her house. The loan amount of Rs.5000 has helped her to bring in daily items required for a grocery shop and also renovate the shop a little. The loan was of a great help to enhance her business. Her husband also works in the same grocery shop and they earn Rs1200-1300 monthly. Yet savings are nil as they put in the income earned in the education of their two daughters, who studies in a government school. She was aware of the interest rate of 8.5 per cent and repays regularly every week and signs in the loan card in the presence of the loan officer. The stocks have again gone down as the demand for the grocery shop has increased. Hence, after repaying the money in full she has a urge to take up loan on the second cycle and utilize it for the best possible reason and earn a better living.

Rakhi has a small grocery shop in her locality and is facing stiff competition from new joints. She plans to bring in more stock like potato, rice, sugar etc from wholesale shops and sell it to her customers. Her husband, Mohan, also works in the shop while their two children are at school.
