| A plant nursery is a rare business which can be noticed in a rural area. Tandra Mondal and her husband have taken this initiative to start with small plant nursery in a rented place. When asked about the loan the couple said they availed loan on time and Rs.5000 was of great help as they were able to buy few seedlings of herbal plants and also good soil in which plant can grow in. Mukunda her husband also works in Hindustan Copper Limited and earns up to 3000-4000rs. He works in shifts so that he can pitch in with his wife to help her in the nursery. The plant nursery has a wide variety of plants. But due to lack of labor work which is required for watering each and every plant and take care of the soil texture, their nursery is not able to be that productive which is usually expected. They supply the plants to State Bank Of India, and other offices in the locality if there is any. They are repaying on a regular basis and after the closure of the first loan they want to a second loan that will help them to keep a labour just to water and take care of the nursery. |

| Tandra Mandal operates a plant nursery in an extension of her house. Facing competition from many other such new businesses, she plans to bring in new varieties of seeds like mango, coconut, sapota, herbal plants etc. These seedlings are in high demand in the local market and also many government offices in her area. Tandra has a 8 year old son who is in school while husband Mukunda also works in the nursery. |
