Rang De is a non-profit platform that helps you to lend Rs.100 or more to an entrepreneur from a low income household. Take your first step with us.
You can choose an individual to lend to and support her business activity or education. When the individual repays, you can reinvest or withdraw.
Seeing is believing. While we strive to bring you the latest from the field, nothing comes close to seeing and experiencing the impact first-hand through Rang De Field trips!
Nadia , West Bengal | Handloom Work
34 year old Manira Bibi hails from Nrshinghpur in West Bengal. She lives with her husband and two children. The couple supports the family by running a handloom business. They have been doing so for the past 10 years. Their two children aged 12 and 18, go to school. Two loans from MFIs in the past have helped Manira set up and establish the business. She has successfully repaid the first loan fully and has finished repayment of over 85% of the second. She now seeks a fresh loan to purchase Tana with Maku(tool for weaving) and thread. She believes that this will help her weave many more sarees for sale in the local market. Manira is confident that she will be able to repay the loan successfully this time as well and hopes that the loan will help her earn and save more. read more
