Thokchom Amurei Leima is a fifty-three-year-old woman hailing from the Kakching district of Manipur. For the past fifteen years, she has been running a tea stall. Her current income is proving to be insufficient and her family faces financial struggles constantly. Thus, she plans on enhancing her business further, for which she needs sufficient capital to purchase more raw materials like green vegetables, flour, salt, milk, tea powder, sugar, edible oil, ghee, firewood, spoons and so on.
With these materials, she makes chappatis, vegetable curry, tea, pakora, etc. for her customers. The dishes she prepares are delicious and attract the local customers to her stall. The only hurdle stopping her from expanding her tea stall further is the lack of finances. Amurei needs a loan amount of Rs.15000/-, which will be utilized to purchase the aforementioned materials. Her husband, Th. Indrajit, and their eldest son, Th. Somarjit, both work as farmers. Somarjit has three younger siblings, two of whom currently study in school. It is thus quite tough to support the household with the current income of the family. Choose to invest in Amurei so that she can successfully expand her business, thus increasing her income and building a brighter future for her family.
