Who we are?

Rang De ( is an award winning, technology driven non-profit social enterprise that supports rural entrepreneurs with access to low cost credit through its web-based peer-to- peer crowdfunding platform. Since January 2008, Rang De has reached out to around 45,000 entrepreneurs across 17 states with more than 9,000 individuals across the world having become social investors to fight poverty in India so far.

Our Team

Rang De's team consists of professionals from diverse backgrounds with a strong sense of purpose to fight poverty in India. In the last 8 years, the team has been able to raise and disburse social investments to tune of over Rs. 300 million to 30,000 + households across India and a repayment track record of close to 99%.

Desired Skills

  • 5 to 7 years of experience developing web backends and APIs.
  • Experience of leading system architecture and module design.
  • Experience with scaling web systems.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical skills.
  • Good understanding of OOP and Design Concepts.
  • Good knowledge of RESTful API design.
  • Knowledge of databases and data access frameworks like Hibernate etc.

  • Relationship Management: Work closely with NGO partners across India and ensure that they are able to fulfill Rang De's Mandate.
  • Impact Measurement: Measure and Report Rang De's impact on the communities and plan new interventions to deepen the impact
  • Manage Key Projects: Manage and report key impact related projects and report back to funding organizations
  • Social Accounting: Be a part of the social accounting team to write the organization’s social accounts

Essential experience and personal qualifications:

  • Master's degree in social work or equivalent degree
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Willingness to travel

  • Previous experience of volunteering for social initiatives
  • Fluent in English, Hindi (Knowing Kannada will be added advantage)

As a Content Writer - Swabhimaan, you will be responsible for creating content for Financial Literacy training program. Swabhimaan is an initiative, which seeks to provide adaptive financial literacy and requisite skills to make informed financial choices. This initiative will make it possible for low-income communities to apply for and receive low-cost loans, at their own terms, with dignity and self-respect.

Your role would primarily involve:

  • Produces content for Rang De Financial Literacy training program - it includes writing content for slide decks, scripts for financial literacy videos, content for assessments, any other kind of content that may be required for the financial literacy training. Therefore, the person needs to have the ability to develop content for a wide variety of mediums
  • Will have the ability to understand contextual requirements and translate that into content that can be used for training
  • Needs to manage day-to-day operations and be the stakeholder for initiatives.
  • Report, support and handhold the centres both in outreach and remotely as well.
  • Experience in multimedia/animation
  • Co-ordinate period program audits in the field and address issues
  • Nurture and grow a community of Rang De supporters – through the initiatives to create awareness.
  • One off visits to the field (very rare, not mandatory)

What you need to succeed:

  • Strong command on English Language
  • Flair for content writing
  • Ability to work under pressure with really short deadlines
  • Having a zest to learn & capacity to unlearn
  • Being aware of the tools of the trade e.g. social media clients, social media KPIs, etc.
  • Domain experience of at least 1-2 years is desirable.

Data entry operator responsibilities include collecting and entering data in databases and maintaining accurate records of valuable company information. Our ideal candidate has essential data entry skills, like fast typing with an eye for detail and familiarity with spreadsheets and online forms.


  • Insert customer and account data by inputting text based and numerical information from source documents within time limits
  • Compile, verify accuracy and sort information according to priorities to prepare source data for computer entry
  • Review data for deficiencies or errors, correct any incompatibilities if possible and check output
  • Research and obtain further information for incomplete documents
  • Apply data program techniques and procedures
  • Generate reports, store completed work in designated locations and perform backup operations
  • Scan documents and print files, when needed
  • Keep information confidential
  • Respond to queries for information and access relevant files
  • Comply with data integrity and security policies


  • 1-2 years of proven data entry work experience, as a Data entry operator or Office clerk
