Who we are?

Rang De (RangDe.org) is an award winning, technology driven non-profit social enterprise that supports rural entrepreneurs with access to low cost credit through its web-based peer-to- peer crowdfunding platform. Since January 2008, Rang De has reached out to around 45,000 entrepreneurs across 17 states with more than 9,000 individuals across the world having become social investors to fight poverty in India so far.

Rang De's team consists of professionals from diverse backgrounds with a strong sense of purpose to fight poverty in India. In the last 8 years, the team has been able to raise and disburse social investments to tune of over Rs. 300 million to 30,000 + households across India and a repayment track record of close to 99%.

Rang De is looking for User Experience Professionals who can drive the design, and adoption of technology solutions in rural India. You will be required to have an excellent grasp of technology, web & mobile based solutions. Since our solution will involve self-service kiosks that will be placed in villages, we seek someone who can bring a strong focus on the end user interactions under conditions that will be relevant for rural borrowers. Knowledge of hardware – software interactions will be an added plus. You will work closely with the Product & Engineering teams, and will be responsible for co-creating a seamless, easy to use , self-service product that will enable adoption of RangDe’s services in under-served rural communities.

UX Designer

  • Collaborate with engineering teams on design & development integration

The Relationship Manager will help forge new relationships to build Rang De's visibility, impact and financial resources. As an Impact Manager - working with existing impact partners, you will build relationships with organizations who work with Rang De as impact partners. Your role will involve:

  • Communicating with existing impact partners on a day to day basis
  • Ensure queries, issues faced by impact partners are resolved
  • Responsible for liasing with them to come up with projections for funding, measuring impact, needs assessment for new initiatives
  • Performance rating for field partners
  • Monitoring, evaluation and audit of the field partners

What you need to succeed:

  • Experience of working and building partnerships with a large number of external organizations
  • A deep understanding of the social sector, any volunteering experience that you may have will be an advantage
  • Ability to work with organizations from different sectors and of different sizes
  • A master's degree in any of the following - Economics, Social Work, Sociology or Business Administration with scores of 70% or above will be preferred.
  • Willingness to travel
  • Excellent communication skills

Skills, Knowledge, qualifications
