At Rang De, we are always inspired by the tenacity of our borrowers. Their stories speak volumes about their potential and how a small affordable loan can bring them closer to realising it. We would like to share one such story with you. Pooja Dhurve is a young girl from a rural family living in Borda, a village situated in Madhya Pradesh. One of six children, Pooja has always been a diligent student, both at school and in college.
Her father, a police constable and her mother, a homemaker appear to have never studied much but clearly go the distance for their children. Other than their eldest daughter, all the others are studying. With many members in the household and only a single source of income, Pooja knew that she would not be able to get ahead without making some arrangement to pay her fees.
Help came in the form of a microloan facilitated by the institution where she studies. Relieved that her tuition fees was taken care of, she continued to work hard and secured an average of 57% during her first year.
When we spoke to her during our last visit to SSISM, she told us that she was preparing to sit for the Azim Premji University entrance exams. An ambitious and hardworking girl, Pooja has a backup plan in case she does not clear the APU entrance. She intends to continue studying at SSISM and will pursue a master’s degree in Microbiology.
Pooja dreams of becoming a junior scientist specialising in microbiology someday. We wish her the very best as she works towards her goal and are glad to have been a part of her journey thus far.

But he is struggling hard to give each of his child a good education. Each of them is pursuing their studies. Pooja is one of the ambitious girl in the family and has done her schooling with good score. Now she is pursuing B.Sc.(microbiology ) from SSISM. In her 1st & 2nd semester, she scored 56% & 50% respectively. She wants to become a Jr. Scientist in Microbiology field. But due to her family’s financial condition, it is difficult for her to pursue her dream. Hence, she has applied for an education loan of Rs.15000/- at Rang De for the first time for which the loan tenure will be of 24 months. Help Pooja fulfill her dreams by investing in her Education loan. Poor financial condition should not become hindrance to accomplish one's ambition.
