Jayesh Dhayerkar is a 20-year-old young man who hails from Dombivili. While he could barely pass his 10th Std examinations, he nevertheless had the self-belief and drive for a career in agriculture. With the help of our field partner Vigyan Ashram, a training center for aspiring entrepreneurs like Jayesh, and a Rang De loan, Jayesh is now getting his life back on track.
Jayesh Dhayerkar is a 20 year old young man from Shirur District of Pune, Maharashtra. He comes from a family which has traditionally been practicing farming and other Agro based occupations. Jayesh chose to do something different. He joined the Entrepreneurship Development program, run by Praj Foundation at Vigyan Ashram and studied in details about Goat Farming. Thereby Jayesh has decided to utilize the knowledge gained in the course by starting a Goat Farming Unit in his village which will enable him to provide superior quality meat and milk products to the villagers at a low cost and during occasions like marriage and festivals; he will be able to earn more as the products will be in high demand. Jayesh has made a viable business plan for his first entrepreneurial venture, wherein he will be requiring Rs 1, 60,000 to realize the venture. He wants to invest Rs 92,076 for building a shed for housing the goats; Rs 65,000 would be spend for purchasing 10 adult and 20 child goats and Rs 2424 has been earmarked for miscellaneous expenses which will be mainly spent on maintenance of the goats. Thereby, he has applied for a loan of Rs 1, 20,000 from Rang de and the remaining Rs 40,000 he will be investing it himself as self- capital. Jayesh is confident that with the mentoring and hand holding support from Vigyan Ashram and the loan from Rang de, he will be able to make his first entrepreneurial venture a success. Your contribution would help a 20 year old young man achieve his entrepreneurial goals and in the process provide his family with financial stability and a secured future. He will be given a 2 year time period to repay the loan along with a 3 month moratorium period.
