New Beginning For Kalpana santosh Kale

Education, while key to achieving a better future, is in truth prohibitively expensive, more so for those who belong to economically weaker sections of society. In some cases, even a little help can go a long way in keeping children in school and preventing their parents from being overburdened with expenses.

Our changemakers were able to make a difference in the lives of many children from Pusad, Maharashtra. Two of them were 9-year-old Tanmay and 8-year-old Anjali Kale. Thanks to their mother Kalpana Santosh Kale, both children are able to attend their classes regularly at a private school.

Kalpana is a tailor while her husband Santosh runs a tea stall. The two occupations ensure the couple has enough to take care of their family but the incomes from them can only be stretched so far.

At the beginning of a new academic year, they dip into their savings to meet the school-related expenses but most of the time, the money falls short. Whenever this happens, they borrow from relatives and moneylenders but now that Vandana has connected to Rang De, the fees are paid within the school’s deadline and all books and uniforms are purchased at the right time. The money that she saved by opting for a cost-effective loan is now being used to pay for her son’s extra tuition classes.

This loan was made possible through your contributions. Thank you for supporting Vandana’s loan request and enabling Tanmay and Anjali to enjoy another year at school. If you would like to help other borrowers in need of a loan, please click on the link.
